Amaravati: Following a directive from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh government will hold its Cabinet meetings electronically starting with the session scheduled for Wednesday at 11 am at the Secretariat.

This will be an environment-friendly measure as Naidu is very firm on paperless transactions and to adopt best practices in e-governance, one of his aides told Bizz Buzz. The main features of e-Cabinet application is to conduct e-Cabinet with a paperless approach not only to enhance operational efficiency but also to align with eco-friendly practices. Incidentally, arrangement has been done for a demo to the Ministers before the commencement of the e-Cabinet proceedings. It aims to ensure secure, real-time access to Cabinet documents and discussions, digitize records, effectively monitor and assess the implementation status of Cabinet decisions, and provide comprehensive data analytics and reporting capabilities.

Meanwhile, in a release, the General Administration Department stated that S Suresh Kumar, Secretary (Political) with the support of IT, Electronics and Communications Department and Arun Sharma, Deputy Director General, Scientist-E, NIC, Uttarakhand conducted a training program on Tuesday to all OSDs and private secretaries to ministers on usage and benefits of e-Cabinet applications as to enable them to use the application and brief the ministers concerned.
